Hentai doujinshi are hentai novels produced using characters from other sources.
For example, if a hentai novel involved the female character Maho Nishizumi from the anime “Girls und Panzer†as a main character, the hentai novel is a doujinshi. It's unoriginal. The author was using someone else's original characters.
A hentai novel without characters from other media will be considered “original†and not doujinshi, as the author used characters of his own design.
Doujinshi is fan-made work often based on other manga. Hentai is an adults-only take on the subject. Recognizable characters would be engaged in blush-inducing poses and activities. :)
I would imagine the reasoning behind why you like Hentai more is because the bodies and sizes are usually over emphasized. Breast in hentai for instance, isn’t actually possible in real life and especially dick sizes as well. If some of the things in hentai actually happened in real life, then the girl/male would most likely die. Like, there’s no freaking way a guy just suddenly comes and there’s cum EVERYWHERE over the female body. Sorry boys, but you just can’t possibly have that much sperm and be ready for round 2.
Now is there something wrong with you because you like hentai more? I don’t think so. I would argue hentai is safer than porn in a sense where you can explore your fantasies without having to resort to real life to do so. Rape in hentai doesn’t seem as bad as actually having it in real life and video taped compared with just drawing it. So you wouldn’t feel as guilty watching anime porn versus watching it in real life. I personally, for an example, would much rather watch a pedo screwing a little girl in hentai than I would in real life. Why? Because if I did actually see a little girl get raped by a man in porn then I would probably vomit and get the FBI knocking on my door. But with hentai, since I know it’s not real, it doesn’t bother me as much.
Of course the message behind hentai (depending on the genre and video) isn’t necessarily morally fine and dandy. Yet, even if we know it’s not, we still continue to watch it. I’m a feminist, I believe women and men should be treated EQUALLY (not women should be treated better or vice versa), but I still find pleasure in watching these females get degraded in sometimes the most awful ways in hentai. Does that mean theres something wrong with me? If there is, then I think there has been something wrong with people for centuries now. Seeing someone in the act of having sex and reproducing is going to turn you on because we’re geared towards multiplying our population and having babies. Having the sizes over emphasized just tricks the mind further into thinking you’re going to produce a baby or have one, so it turns us on.
On the same token, our society is changing and we don’t have to produce as much, yet our human instincts are telling us to. So we try to make up with it through porn or hentai. I think.
I still feel like I would need to do more research before I reach a decent conclusion but that’s where I am right now on it.
HOWEVER, do not make it into an addiction of watching hentai. In doses it should be okay, but if you’re watching hentai constantly and trying to make up for a gap in your life, then I would recommend seeing a professional for help. Enjoy hentai, but read hentai online don’t substitute it with not having real sex and using it to ignore what a real life relationship is. It’s like having pizza, it’s okay if it’s in moderation but if you’re having it constantly then you’re not being very healthy mentally. Go out there and actually talk to people or get help(For those who have an actual addiction reading this), but I get it. It’s much easier to sit down and fap to a video than to actually go outside and try to talk to a girl/male. Still though, developing relationships is much more mentally healthier than sitting down and watching a screen.
